Seven down, two to go in the "regular season" and the one-match playoffs remain. Talk about rubbing salt in a wound! That's what team BRA is doing to the other three teams who are battling for second. Click here for the gory details.

The 29th Annual Edison Tennis Classic was held this past weekend at Fort Myers Racquet Club. Seven events were contested in Singles and Mixed Doubles. Singles events included Men's and Women's Open, Men's 3.5/4.0, and Women's 3.5. Mixed events were 6.0, 7.0, and 8.0/9.0. As soon as I get the info I'll pass on the details.

Park Meadow Tennis Shop
Park Meadow Tennis Shop
Last week approximately 40 ladies, representing 12 clubs attended a team uniform sneak preview at The Courtyard by Marriott Fort Myers. The event was hosted by Elaine Capps, Owner of Park Meadow Tennis Shop, and a number of apparel vendors, including Tail, Fila, and others were on hand displaying their wares.

According to Elaine “These teams are getting a jump on ordering uniforms because in the past the clubs that wait run into issues like running out of styles or sizes.”  Getting the orders in early also gives manufacturers reason to continue a style. Of those in attendance, five teams indicated that they would commit to a particular uniform, and from Elaine’s standpoint, the event was a success.
